Here are the specific details you requested: Environment: Platform: Web version (app.diagrams.net) Browser: Chrome Version 143.0.7499.193 (Official Build) (64-bit) Operating System: Windows 11 Reproduction Steps: Create a container and place two or more objects inside it. Connect the objects using connectors. Save the diagram and close the tab/application. Re-open the file. Attempt to move one of the objects or the container itself. The Issue: Immediately upon interaction, the internal objects automatically resize to match the container's height/dimensions, which in turn forces the container to expand significantly. Container Type: The issue occurs with standard containers/groups (please check if this happens with specific library containers like Swimlanes or just a standard group). Additional Observations: The behavior seems triggered specifically after saving and re-opening the file, suggesting a possible issue with how properties are stored or re-initialized. I’m experiencing a frustrating issue with object behavior inside containers (groups) in diagrams.net.
The Problem: Whenever I move an object or perform almost any action within a container, the child elements automatically snap/resize to match the height (or width) of the parent container. This causes a "chain reaction" where the container then expands even further to accommodate the newly resized shapes, completely distorting my diagram.
What I've tried:
I looked through the "Arrange" and "Style" tabs to find a setting related to "Autoscale" or "Constrain," but I couldn't find anything that stops this behavior.
It happens both to objects explicitly placed in a container and sometimes to nearby objects as well.
I want my shapes to maintain their fixed dimensions regardless of the container's size or my movement of other objects.
Does anyone know which specific setting or property I need to disable to stop this automatic resizing?
