I have been a user of M5ez for some time. see www.marinetools.au and wanted to give back to the project.

As the original and amazing M5ez is no longer maintained, I took the liberty to update it today, with vast help from Claude Code!

The updated library is available from github.com/a4x4kiwi/M5ez-2

Note it is set up for the Visual Studio Code and Platform.io environment. I have not updated the files in the example folder. Just migrated the demo code.

I am not a great git user, but if you do happen to make any fixes, I will attempt to incorporate them.
